Andrew founded the company in 2009 after many years working in both the public and private sector. Having already overseen a wide variety of successful projects, Andrew continues to direct the company's growth and development. He is highly adaptable and commercially minded whilst also having the sensitivity and diplomacy to successfully handle both complex and contentious planning issues.
John Vale
BSc (Hons) MSc
Associate Director
John is a town planner with extensive experience secured from working in both private and public sectors. He has been with Plan-A since February 2022 and is enjoying the opportunity to work on a range of more complex cases. Outside of work, John enjoys running, singing, the cinema and eating out at new restaurants.
Lydia Pywell
BA (Hons) Design
Marketing and Design Manager
Since joining the company in April 2021, Lydia has worked closely with the team on re-designing the company website and social media platforms. As well as working on the company rebrand, part of her role as Design Manager includes providing technical design drawings to assist relevant planning applications. Outside of work, Lydia runs her own Stationery businesses, enjoys drawing, running and being by the sea.
Connor Fletcher
BSc (Hons) Urban Planning
Graduate Planner
With Plan-A being his introduction to a career in planning, Connor joined the team as a Graduate Planner in March 2023 and is enjoying working collaboratively with the team whilst also testing himself on a wide range of varying projects. Outside of work, Connor enjoys watching and playing all kinds of sports, cycling and exploring new places.
Nicky Pugh
BSc (Hons), MSc, MRTPI
Associate Director
Nicky is a Chartered Town Planner with extensive experience gleaned from planning roles within both the private and public sector. She joined Plan-A in 2014 and is responsible for managing some of our more complex planning cases, where she enjoys working closely with clients to identify an appropriate strategy to help achieve the ultimate goal. Outside of work Nicky enjoys tennis, singing, hill walking and travel.
Penny Seakins
BSc (Joint Hons) | BSc (Hons)
Office Manager
Penny has a Science and Healthcare professional background and following a career break, her journey with Plan-A began. She has been a member of the team since 2015 and she enjoys the challenge of day-to-day office administration, invoicing, book-keeping/accounts and implementation of new IT systems. Outside of work, Penny enjoys running, singing and spending time with family and friends.
Ijas Muhammed
BEng Civil Engineering, MSc Planning and Sustainable Development
Graduate Planner
With an earlier background and experience in the field of Civil Engineering, Ijas switched to a career in planning in order to follow his passion for sustainable development. He joined Plan-A in February 2023 as a Graduate Planner and is enjoying the opportunity to work on a variety of cases and learn new things every day. Ijas enjoys playing and watching football, visiting new places and going out with friends.
